In 2016, she became a Certified Corporate Compliance Professional (CCEP) as regulated by the Compliance Certification Board, which developed criteria to determine competence in the practice of compliance and ethics across various industries and specialty areas, and recognizes individuals meeting these criteria through its compliance certification programs. Her bi-annual certification ensures she remains at the cutting edge of the compliance world and allows her to respond in thoughtful and practical ways to compliance-related issues.

Waz has a strong track record of identifying critical risk management issues and those responsible, considering root causes before suggesting appropriate remediations. She has been instrumental in the development and implementation of a world-class compliance program, applying her knowledge of business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects. This has included personal responsibility for implementing ethics lines — of which she is currently an administrator — as well as implementing and
administering integrity incentive programs, and identifying developing compliance champions to enhance the organization’s compliance resource “bench.” Waz brings practicality to CORE’s compliance program, ensuring it remains relevant and meaningful to all stakeholders.
